SURF SPOTS

Lakey Peak
LAKEY PEAK

Lakey Peak is THE wave in Lakey. It is a perfect A-Frame wave in front of the famous tower, where you can surf together with the pro surfers of this world. The wave is for experienced surfers only and is grounded by reef.

High or low tide, you can surf at any time and most of the time Peak is barrelling perfectly. To get out it's about a 450 m paddle with a nice channel or you take the zodiac for around $2 return.

Lakey Pipe
LAKEY PIPE

You always wanted to surf with turtles? This is the place it's going to happen. Next to Lakey Peak is Pipe, a friendly left hander wave barrelling at medium size and when tide is getting low. Best time to surf this spot is mid-to-high tide due to the reef. Lakey Pipe offers a nice channel and humble current.

Cobblestone
COBBLESTONE RIGHT & LEFT

A 5 minutes drive from Lakey is Cobblestone. A left and right wave breaking on reef. Best time is at high tide. While the right one is a friendly wave nice for learning, the left one is more steep and for advanced sufers. Cobblestone left can barrel at medium size. The current is friendly and you have an easy channel to get out. Compared to Lakey Peak and Pipe this spot is less croweded with only  a few people in the water.

Periscope
PERISCOPE

Periscope offers a nice beach with a long right hander breaking on reef. It is a steep wave barrelling most of the time. To get there it takes about 15 minutes by bike. Best time is during mid-to-high tide. Also here you got an easy channel and it's only a short paddle into the line up.

Nungas beach
Nangadoro
NUNGAS

A beach not only good for surfing but also for stunning sunsets. Not far from Lakey this wave offers a long lefthand (~200m), less steep and less crowded than Peak or Pipe. Best time is mid-to-low tide but watch out for the strong current while paddling out. Ground is reef.

NANGADORO LEFT & RIGHT

When it's getting small and tide is up this 15 minutes drive will be worth it. Nangadoro is breaking left and right on reef ground. Most of the time only few to no people are in the water at this spot and you got a nice channel with only a little current.

Hu'u village
THE VILLAGE WAVE

The swell is going crazy and waves at Lakey Peak and Pipe are getting way too big? Let's take a 25 minutes drive and surf one of the nicest waves in this area. No crowds, breaking left and right, easy channel, short paddle, no current and a nice, friendly and not steep wave. Beginners but also advanced surfers will have a lot of fun here.
